By the Grace of God, Rev. Roden Torro of St. Rita of Cascia, Ordained to Priesthood, and Fra Marlon, Fra Noel Cerna and Fra Elpidius were Ordained as Deacons on January 8, 2013 at St. Isidore Parish, Talamban by His Grace Jose S. Palma, the Archbishop of Cebu. Thanks be to God.

The Simple Professed Community at Sunny Hills with the approval of Prior Fr. Luigi K, OAD, Master Fr. Jesus M, OAD and Economer Fr. Roland B, OAD has started the Children's Ministry under the name of Humilitatis Filii.  More than 100 Children gathered on December 29, 2012 to celebrate the Christmas Party. Fr. Luigi blessed all the children. Through the good will of the Benefactors we distributed clothes, rice, canned foods for the children.  It was a joyful occasion to all the children and for the Mission of the OAD. Through Mercy of God with the Blessings and support of our Superiors we hope to continue to Ministry successfully. Thank you very much for all those who supported thie Event. God bless.

The celebration of the Feast of Epiphany, the visit of the Three wise men was celebrated in a most wonderful and meaningful manner. There was Holy Eucharist at Our Lady of Good Counsel Monastery, Sunny Hills. After the Mass, the Humilitatis Filii Children acted out the Whole Incarnation of Jesus Chriat until the Event of Epiphany in front of the Prists, brothers and visitors. The presentation was applauded and appreciated by all those who were present there. After the Event Fr. Jesus M, OAD, the Master of Simple Professed distributed the prize for all the children. January 17, 2013 becomes a day of joyful remembrance for the Hermandad of St. Rita of Cascia, OAD Tabor Hill as they are received around 10 to 15 candidates into the Aspirancy.  Fr. Dennis R. presided the Holy Eucharist together with Fr. Jesus M, and Fr. Roden T. Fr. Roden Torrow was announced to be the Spiritual Director of the Hermandad of St. Rita of Cascia.  The event was witnessed by many devotees of St. Rita and the Third Order of the Discalced Augustinians.

The Novena in honor of the Feast of St. Augustine will start from 19 - 28, August 2012, at OAD Simple Professed House, #20 Sunlight Drive, Sunny Hills, Talamban.  All are welcomed to participate in the novena and Fiesta to receive the Blessings and grace through the intercession of Our Holy Father Augustine.

Today June 29, 2012 at 3.30 pm is the Official Opening of the Tabor Hill College, which is approved by the Commission for the Higher Education, Philippines, commenced with the Mass of the Holy Spirit officiated by His Eminence Ricardo J. Cardinal Vidal, D.D. concelebrated by many priests from OAD and the Priests from various Dioceses. All the students of TABOR HILL COLLEGE took active participation.  This also was marked the celebration of th esuccess of SAINT MONICA INSTITUTE OF RELIGIOUS STUDIES. 

The Whole event was organized by Rev. Fr. Renel Cabag, OAD.

Our Prior General visited the Philippines Delegation of the Order of the Discalced Augustinians to hold the Commissariate Chapter in view of raising the Delegation of Philippines into a Province.  The Commissariate Chapter took place in the first week of May, 2012. The Philippines Delegation was raised to Commissary Province. The long cherished dream come true.  The Commissariate Chapter also elected Rev. Fr. Crisologo Suan, OAD, as the first Commissary Provincial, Fr. Dennis Ruiz as the Prov. Economus, Fr. Luigi Kerschbamer as the First Provincial Councilor, Fr. Rolando Rafol as the Second Provincial Councilor.  Later Fr. John Biton was appointed as the Archivist and Secretary to the Provincial.

The OAD Sports Fest which is conducted once in every two year was celebrated this year from October 23-25, 2011 at St. Augustine Community Butuan.  The Sports Fest started with co-celebrated Holy Eucharist.  Started with Teams Parade continued with Cheer Dance, Parlor Games.  And there were Foot Ball, Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Table Tennis, Game of the General, Chess.  The Socio cultural Evenig also was part of the it.  As usual the St. Thomas of Villanova Team, Professed Brothers community stormed away with the overall Championship, St. Monica Team, comprising Tabor Hill, Manila and Vietnam communities won the Second Place and St. Augustine Team, the Aspirants community Butuan won the Third Place. The smallest Team among all, St. Rita Team, though could not perform well in any of the ball games, they won first place in Socio Cultural and Choral Singing. The new introduction - Priests' Singing was won by Fr. Elmer from Butuan Community and Fr. Renan got the second place. 

All through the Sports Fest the Priests and Brothers were forstering Charity, reminding the Desire of Our Holy Father Augustine, in ONE MIND AND ONE HEART and proving the Psalm 113 is true.  HOW GOOD AND PLEASANT IT IS TO SEE BROTHERS LIVE TOGETHER. All Glory to God.  Hail St. Augustine!

The Annual Retreat for the Professed brothers and for the OAD Priests took place from October 17-21, 2011.

Starting from August 19 until today August 28, 2011 Augustinian Week celebrated by the Novitiate Community with much enthusiam and various Activities.  Each Novice prepared a project reflecting the Augustinian Themes.  On the feast day, August 28, 2011 there was feeding of the children, nearly 100 children benefitted. 

During the Augustinian Week, Every day there was Novena Mass in Honor of our Holy Father Augustine.  There were also special sports activities with JMJ Boys.  St. Augustine, Pray for us!

The Feast of St. Rita of Cascia, the saint of the impossible was celebrated at St. Rita Shrine, OAD Novitiate House.  Fr. Libby precided the Holy Mass.  The replica of the uncorrupt body of St. Rita was blessed. The Harmandads received their investiture. St. Rita of Cascia, Pray for us!

Today by 10.00 am the Holy Eucharist for the Solemn Profession celebrated with much joy and sense of gratitude.  Fr. Gilmar, the Prior of the Professed, precided the Holy Eucharist.  There were Eight simple professed brothers gave their solemn profession and committed themselves in the Mission of the OAD.

There were six candidates who completed their postulancy in Cebu were accepted int the novitiate for the year 2011-2012.  Fr. Aris Batado, the Prior of the Novitiate House precided over the Holy Eucharist along with other OAD Priests. Many people from Cebu also witnessed the celebration. Thanks be to God!
